The wrong Guru

In 2015, during a marriage ceremony, I happen to meet one of my distant cousins after almost 2 decades. Somewhere, I heard he has left household to be a saint. It is quite common in our community for people to take spiritual path as there are many of our relatives who are saints, some live household monastic life, and some follow strict spiritual laws taught by their teachers but live a complete normal life with daily jobs.

This guy stayed with a guru for about two years nearby his village but then abandoned his teachings and returned home. To his horror, it was after two years he realized the person as a tantric (occultist). Spiritual initiation with a yogic guru is what differentiates from that of a occult guru. The initiation process has something to do with witchcraft and ideologies of harming others to receive occult powers.

This guy decided to be a saint after a tragedy in life and then deceived a second time, it left him quite broken.

There is but no wrong Guru

Occult practices hidden in plain sight

This day astrology, astrology based solutions, and occult teachings have reached almost every household in this country. The only reason is due to the vast spread of the occult teachers who are seen as astrologer or spiritual guru. Then, reiki along with new age healing modalities are equally wide spread in cities. Among them too, occult techniques are being spread in the name of reiki.

Is there a real way to identify occult? How to know if the person is a yogic guru or occult practitioner? What happens if you participate in occult?

Occult and witchcraft are aspects of tantra which is said to be a strict spiritual discipline and never taught to everyone. Yoga is becoming aware with various practices involving your body and inner resources. Tantra on the other hand is like gym which involves outer resources to focus your energy.

When it comes to occult, it is a form of tantra that is being practiced for personal achievements and material benefits. The unforgivable aspect of it is used to harm others and has very strict karmic retributions.

Occult practitioners teaches distorted beliefs and sometimes harmful techniques. It was on News two years back, when a father pricked his new born with multiple needles casing death. During police interrogation it was known that some occultist has taught the process to this man.

Even in this 21st century people do fall for such traps.

There is a way to know the difference

The Enlightened Energy

There is only one way to identify any form of occult teachings and differentiate it from yogic/spiritual path. It is by knowing the presence of enlightened energy. There is also one behavioral aspect that will easily help identify the teachings as enlightened or not.

Let us first check with the knowing what unenlightened energies feel like. Check the book cover of The Test of Non-Duality. This is how the energy feels when you are around any form of unenlightened or dark energy that is in control of ego. It has more of a tinge of third eye chakra color as a psychic energy. The Test is a point where ego is at its peak struggle until the structure is shattered. Also, any form of harmful occult practice pushes karmic retribution directly to the point of the Test.

Not everyone is energy sensitive, so there must be a behavior based trait to know the truth. Yes, there is but only one trait that perfectly identifies a enlightened teacher from others. It is  'Faith on Humanity'. This is the most tricky and struggling point when reaching self realization. After absorbing years of trauma and abuse, learning to trust humanity is the highest of the realizations. Any teachings that distorts from this one trait has not yet reached the Test of Non-Duality. It cannot be hidden, it cannot be faked. It will show up clear in healing techniques, philosophies, and beliefs, as well as life experiences and relationships.
